Monique and Ray wanted to capture family photos in a scenic location before the arrival of the next member of their family. At the start of the consultation, the idea was to conduct the session on a beach. As talks progressed, our focus turned to lighting. Did they want photos with cool tones or warm tones? In the end, warm tones won the battle. As a result, we decided to do a sunset session overlooking the Nelson’s Dockyard. We were so happy with this decision! The family, including the couple's precious pup, were able to get photos in front of one of the most scenic locations on the island.
Monique had another fitted dress that she planned to change into midway through the shoot. However, we decided to solely use her white dress because we loved the way that it moved in the wind.
Tip: Expecting mothers are naturally less mobile than others. Therefore, wearing a dress made from flowy fabric during an outdoor maternity session, is a simple way to add movement to the photographs.
