Step away from home and the office and let this be your third space for a few days. Meet new people and form new friendships. A small portion of your booking will be donated to a safe space for girls - the Sunshine Home for Girls.

DAY 1: Arrival at the V.C. Bird International Airport in Antigua, Welcome Dinner

DAY 2: Explore St. John's city by foot, Free Time

DAY 3: Cultural Food tour: Farm Tour, Ital/Vegan Cooking Class and Spiritual Rastafarian Chalice Smoking Demonstration, Cultural Lunch, Free Time

DAY 4: Historical Site Visits, Beach Break, Swim with Stingrays, Free Time

DAY 5: Morning Hike, Rum Making Class, Beach Break, BBQ Sunset Party

DAY 6: Free morning, Lunch Stop, Sunset Cruise

This itinerary will allow you to enjoy solo endeavours during your free time. We will provide a list of recommended tours, and restaurants that you can try solo. Exercise normal safety precautions and avoid isolated areas. The beaches are off limits after sunset. See Safety Advice.

Day 1

Arrival at Hotel

Upon arrival at the V.C. Bird International Airport, you will be picked up by our private driver who will take you to your accommodation.

For our upcoming 2026 tours, the Ocean Inn will act as your new home. The boutique accommodation is intimate and has sea views. It was once only used as a family residence but has expanded into a Bed and Breakfast. It features shared rooms, private rooms, and stand-alone wooden cottages that are very similar to a typical Antiguan home. It is steps away from a supermarket, a beach, restaurants, and shopping centres. You will truly live like a local here.

***Note that pickup could be jointly with all arriving solo travellers.

At sunset, we will head to our Welcome Dinner.

Day 2

Lime Like a Local: City Tour + Beach Stop (6 hours)

Lime - To socialize and hang out. A lime is any event where you socialize and hang out.

Today, we will explore many places by foot.

A private taxi will take us to the heart of St. John's city. There, we'll explore many places by foot and get a quick lunch.

If there's time, we will have a quick swim break at a nearby beach.

Day 3

Eat Like a Local Tour (6 hours)

Today is all about exploring the cultural gastronomy of Antigua.

The first stop is a tour of a farm tended to by members of one of Antigua's Rastafarian communities. During this tour, you will learn about the sustainable practices used to prepare Ital food and try the meal too. This will lead to a spiritual chalice smoking demonstration. You can also volunteer to participate in the demonstration.

Next, we will journey to a local female-owned restaurant that prepares traditional Antiguan cuisine.

Day 4

Site Seeing, Swim with Stingrays (5 hours)

Eat a hearty breakfast, pack sunscreen, swimwear, towels and clothes, as you get ready for a day of fun in the sun.

We will visit beautiful historic sites and beaches on the island's east coast.

You will also get the opportunity to swim with stingrays that aren't in captivity. ***This portion of the tour is not private.

Sleep well after dinner because we start early tomorrow.

Day 5

Hike, Beach Break (6 hours)

Today will be spent in the southern end of the island. We will hike in scenic locations, make our own rum, and lounge on the beach. ***The rum making session is not private.

Try the lunch menu at the next door restaurant while we are there.

Later, we will go to a popular BBQ Party with gorgeous sunset views. It features BBQ meals, seafood, live steel pan bands, live singers, and soca/reggae music. Food, drinks, and merchandise will be on sale.

Day 6

Sunset Catamaran Cruise (6 hours)

Lunch will be served at a relaxing tropical lunch spot. If there's time, we can explore the surroundings and take pictures.

Afterwards enjoy your sunset catamaran cruise! ***This cruise is not private and will include other outside parties such as residents and visitors.

Eat, drink, dance, and make new friends.

Day 7 Pickup

FREE DAY + Farewell Dinner

Take this opportunity to relax at the Ocean Inn, go to the beach, attend a tour that is not on the planned itinerary, shop, do a private photoshoot, or visit a restaurant.

In the evening, the group will be transported to a restaurant via taxi for a private farewell dinner at a restaurant with views of the Caribbean sea.

Day 8

Departure Day

On this day, we say our goodbyes. Please arrange your taxi pickup.

Her Island Odyssey acts as a third space for 8 - 11 women to breathe, connect, build confidence, and embrace self. In Antigua, the Sunshine Home for Girls mirrors this purpose for girls. They house up to 11 vulnerable girls who are in need of a safe and nurturing home. For every woman that books our multi-day experience, USD$40.00 will be donated towards ensuring there is always room for girls who need safety and support.
